This past Sunday, parents, faculty and friends came out in force to honor five very deserving honorees as we kicked off the Moriah Annual Campaign benefiting the Allen Stern Memorial Scholarship Fund. Joy and Michael Goldsmith, and Sara and Richard Schlussel, were our guests of honor, and Judi Poloner, received the Rabbi J. Shelley Applbaum Service Award. Dr. Prager and Nathan Lindenbaum, spoke beautifully, as did Moriah graduate Daniel Stern. Thanks to Sharon Kinstlinger and Tobah Farkas, the choir outdid themselves this year! The beautiful centerpieces created by Pre-K and Kindergarten students with help from Ivy Weiner adorned the tables, and as usual, David Gellman provided us with a delicious breakfast. Thanks too to Ben Kershenbaum, Ellen Oppenheimer, Yael Polinsky, Nealy Erber, and Dana Lissauer for helping to set up on Motzaei Shabbat. Breakfast chairs Claire Kershenbaum, Sherry Milstein, Elana Sohn Lissauer and Debbie Stern Blumenthal would especially like to thank the students who volunteered to babysit in particularly trying circumstances since the entertainment never showed up! Dani Auerbacher, Jessie Auerbacher, Max Goldberg, Maya Goldstein, Adi Haruni, Jamie Herenstein, Kailah Kaner, Avi Katz, Sabrina Kudowitz, Yosepha Morrison, Tamar Palagon, Amira Pechet, Olivia Rosenzweig, Justin Safier, Talia Schabes, Ally Schlisser, Tyler Schwartz, Tsipora Stone and Nediva Susman (apologies if anyone was omitted!) all did a fabulous job keeping the kids occupied!
