The fourth grade celebrated Super Bowl XLIII in math class! Students teamed-up to tackle a variety of problems using different math operations. They also worked on finding possible scoring combinations using the point values of touchdowns, field goals and safeties. To kick-off the lesson, students wore football jerseys, enjoyed tailgate snacks and received a packet of football cards courtesy of the NFL. All of the fourth graders reached their goal of understanding the relationship between football and math. This lesson was a touchdown!
