Moriah Presents Noah Our new Drama Program has opened up a whole new dimension of experience for many of our Professional Director Matt Okin (based in Englewood), Production Stage Manager Mandy Decker, and Teaching Artists Giselle D'Souza, Vanessa Altshuler, and Erel Pilo - all from their own Black Box Studios - led the 30+ children in the Moriah Drama Program to their triumphant first collaboration, a production of Noah by Andre Obey. The shows on February 9 and 11 were completely sold-out, with over 150 people attending each performance. 1. Every performer - whether personifying an animal on the ark or portraying one of the humans who came along for the 'ride" - was on stage for almost all of the two-act play, which also featured material improvised and written by most of the cast. The set, lights, and sound were also student-created by In early June, the Moriah Drama Program will present a well-known musical, and additional theater programs for Moriah’s elementary-age kids are in the works for the future.
