Purim in Gan Tziporim

This week Gan Tziporim’s classroom underwent a transformation. The winter scenes are now gone and in their place are groggers, masks, and costumes. The children were curious about all the changes and quickly came to the realization that Purim is on its way!

Our ma’agal area has become the beautiful palace in Shushan, the capital of Persia. Everyone worked hard painting the walls of the palace and decorating them. We hung colored tulle and beads from the ceiling, creating an elegant entrance to our palace. We covered tables and chairs with beautiful fabrics and placed them in the palace. We then added costumes, masks, crowns, jewelry, and scepters and watched as the role playing began! The children can be heard singing and dancing while pretending to be kings, queens, Mordechais and Hamans. There is definitely the feeling of Shushan in the air!
