Fourth Grade Happenings
Walk into any 4th grade room on Wednesday and you can observe cooperative teams engrossed in exciting science lab experiments designed to help our students further understand the invention process. Under the creative influence of Mrs. D'Amico, activities are geared to understanding Newton's Law of Motion. Students designed and developed catapults to measure the furthest distance a marshmallow could fly through the air, and created parachutes to measure air resistance. We are looking forward to developing roller coasters to further understand the laws of gravity and motion. Mrs. D'Amico has been meeting with individual invention teams, as they tweak the prototypes for their inventions, which will be showcased on April 9th, at the 4th Grade Invention Convention.
