Moriah Carnival
Moriah’s 5th Annual Back-to-School Carnival on Sunday, September 14th, was a huge success! Students and their families were treated to a day of carnival games, rides, and great food for big kids and younger ones alike. School spirit was on full display by faculty and administration, parents and alumni, as everyone came to show their support for The Moriah School!
A special thank you to event co-chairs Andrea Portal and Shir a Ashendorf, who worked in conjunction with MAP to organize this fantastic, fun-filled day for everyone. Thank you, also, to our tireless food-chair, Miriam Motechin, for coordinating the delicious array of refreshments and treats at the carnival, as well as for her masterful grilling skills! We’d also like to extend our thanks to the myriad of volunteers and coordinators who helped make this carnival such a success.
This wonderful day would not have been nearly as special without the professional guidance and support of Jordan Abowitz, Linda Tibus, Rivkie Rube, Barry Nash, and the entire Moriah maintenance staff, who worked so hard to prepare the venue for this big event. Shira Csillag’s eye-catching signs really helped catapult our carnival to the next level of fun!
Our 8th grade volunteers deserve special mention for their tremendous help and their big smiles throughout the day. They came ready to work and they pitched in across the board. Yasher Ko’chachem!
We feel a tremendous debt of gratitude and hakarat hatov to all of our volunteers and sponsors, too numerous to mention individually.
Our food contributors, including Best Glatt; Chopstix; Dougies; Abeles & Heymann; EJ’s; Glatt Express; Kosher Experience; Supersol; and Noah’s Ark, as well as our ‘beverage provider’, Jason Teigman, helped us all stay well-fed and hydrated on such a hot day. Thanks to all of you!
What a great kickoff to the new school year! L’Shana Tovah!
