K-1 Learns About Ten In honor of the 10th day of school, K-1 participated in many activities using the number “10”! They read a book titled, Ten Black Dots, by Donald Crew. They then wrote and illustrated their very first K-1 book. This will be “published” in our library for all of us to enjoy! In the math center, K-1 used unifix cubes to help understand “sets of ten”. Through the use of the unifix cubes, they learned that 5+5=10, 4+6=10, 6+4=10, 3+7=10, 7+3=10, 2+8=10, 8+2=10, 1+9=10, and 9+1=10!
